As we come to the close of another year, it’s time to reflect on the significant milestones we’ve achieved at HOPE. This year has been marked by numerous ‘firsts’ that underscore our commitment to making homeownership a reality for essential workers.
Transforming lives through homeownership
This year, we’ve taken a leap forward in our mission. With the acquisition of 16 new homes, we’ve helped secure homeownership for 26 essential workers. This accomplishment isn’t just a number; it represents the realisation of a dream for individuals who are integral to our community. The story of the Police Officer we’ve featured in this newsletter is another example of the profound impact that is generated by homeownership.
Pioneering achievements in the finance sector
In 2023, HOPE marked an important achievement as our Fund received its inaugural Research Rating. This recognition is more than an acknowledgment of our financial stability; it positions us as pioneers, being the first rated shared equity product in Australia. You can read our Rating Report here.
Quantifying our impact, beyond numbers
Our journey also goes beyond financial achievements. Leveraging a Social Valuation methodology, we’ve been able to quantify our social impact and the results are better than encouraging. By understanding the monetary value of our social impact, we’re empowered to make smarter, more impactful decisions. We’re refining our impact reporting processes, and you can find more about this in the accompanying article.
Forging ahead
Looking forward, we step into 2024 with determination. The foundation laid this past year is solid, setting the stage for expanded reach and greater impact. We are thrilled to continue this journey alongside you, our valued partners and supporters.
A heartfelt thank you
As I express my deep gratitude for your support and belief in our mission, I am reminded that our work is not just about providing homes – it’s about giving hope.
I wish you all a happy and safe Christmas and look forward to working with you in 2024.
Warmest regards,
Tim
