The APAC Financial Wellness Initiative, in partnership with RFI Global, ran a virtual panel discussion on the topic of impact investment in the housing sector, with a particular focus on housing affordability for essential workers. On the panel was Greg McKenna, CEO of Police Bank, and Tim Buskens, CEO of Hope Housing, who discussed the partnership between the two organisations to make housing more affordable for essential workers.
The discussion also outlined the short and long term benefits of essential workers being able to afford homes in the cities they work in, such as talent retention, reducing burnout and increasing connection to the community. Dr. Vinita Godinho, CEO of Financial Resilience Australia introduced the session, and Anna Perera-Shaw, Director – Consumer Credit, Deposits & Payments, of RFI Global, moderated the discussion.
