HOPE Housing Residential Property Trust (“the Fund”) has received an Investment Grade rating from Evergreen Ratings, marking an important milestone in the Fund’s maturity.
For investors, the rating provides independent assessment of the Fund’s investment process, governance and strategy, reinforcing the Fund’s position as a differentiated residential property investment opportunity.
HOPE gives investors access to residential property capital growth through a funds management model, without the cost and complexity of direct property ownership. At the same time, investor capital helps essential workers buy homes close to where they work.
Phil White, CEO of HOPE Housing, said the rating was an important endorsement of the Fund’s progress and achievements to date.
“Receiving an Investment Grade rating from Evergreen Ratings reinforces the strength of our model and the role HOPE can play in providing investors with efficient and scalable access to residential property, while helping address one of Australia’s most pressing housing challenges.” Mr White said.
“Our focus is now on scaling the Fund so we can support more essential workers into homeownership, while aiming to deliver attractive financial and social returns for investors.”
Evergreen Ratings Founder and Director Angela Ashton said the rating reflected HOPE’s distinctive position in the market.
“This rating affirms HOPE’s position as a leader in social impact investing, providing investors with access to capital growth and diversification benefits in the residential property market,” Ms Ashton said.
The rating comes as HOPE prepares for its next stage of growth. Following the successful completion of its Greater Sydney pilot, the Fund is now looking to scale nationally, with Perth identified as the next priority market.
